Introduction of Abec L Tablet

Abec L Tablet is a combination of two antiretroviral medicines containing Abacavir and Lamivudine. Abec L is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus  (HIV) infection in adults and children weighing above 25 kgs. It helps control HIV Infection and prevent the development of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Abec L Tablet does not completely cure HIV Infection. Abec L will reduce the progression of a chronic potentially life-threatening condition known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related conditions. Abec L Tablet will work by stopping the virus from multiplying in the body.  

Abec L may not be suitable for every patient. Abec L Tablet is not recommended for patients weighing less than 25 kgs. If you have any skin-related problems, liver disease, kidney disease, heart problems, high blood pressure, or diabetes, or if you are overweight any other health-related problems please consult your doctor before the treatment.  

Abec L may show some side effects like nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, fatigue, rash, headache, etc. If you experience any of these symptoms while taking Abec L Tablet stop taking the medication, and you should consult your doctor right away. 

Abec L should be taken with or without food daily once or twice daily. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions for taking Abec L Tablet and to continue taking the medication as prescribed even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Abec L or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor

How to Use Abec L Tablet?

Abec L Tablet should be taken with a full glass of water. You may take it with or without food.

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.

How Abec L Tablet Works?

Abec L Tablet  containing Abacavir and Lamivudine both are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors.
