Introduction of Abec Tablet

Abec Tablet is an antiretroviral medicine containing Abacavir. It is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus  (HIV) infection. Abec 300 mg Tablet is usually taken in combination with other medicines to help control HIV Infection and prevent the development of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Abec 300 Tablet does not completely cure HIV Infection. Abec 300 mg Tablet will reduce the progression of a chronic potentially life-threatening condition known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related conditions. Abec will work by stopping the virus from multiplying in the body.

Abec 300 Tablet may not be suitable for every patient. Use of Abec 300 mg Tablet is not recommended for patients weighing <25 kgs. If you have any skin-related problems, liver disease, kidney disease, heart problems, high blood pressure, or diabetes, or if you are overweight any other health-related problems please consult your doctor before the treatment.

Abec 300 Tabletis may show some side effects like nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, fatigue, rash, headache, etc. If you experience any of these symptoms while taking Abec 300 mg Tablet stop taking the medication, and you should consult your doctor right away.

Abec 300 Tablet should be taken with or without food daily once or twice daily. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions for taking Abec 300 mg Tablet and to continue taking the medication as prescribed even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Abec or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor.

Use with Caution

Abec 300 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with Kidney disease. It is important that patients with kidney disease closely monitor kidney function while taking Abec Tablet and report any unusual symptoms or changes in kidney function to their doctor. The dose of Abec may need to be adjusted in patients with kidney disease.


It is generally not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Abec Tablet. It may increase the risk of liver damage. it is best to avoid alcohol or limit your alcohol consumption while taking any medication.
