The action of the Apretero 125 mg /80 mg Capsule is mediated by three G protein- coupled tachykinin receptors designated NK1, NK2 and NK3. Substance P is the preferred ligand for the NK1 receptor, the predominant tachykinin receptor in the human brain. Nk1 is a G protein-coupled receptor located in the central and peripheral nervous system. It is found in high concentration in the vomiting center of the brain. It also plays a key role in the transmission of pain impulses from the peripheral receptors to the CNS.
