Daunocyte 20 mg Injection is an immunosuppressant medicine used for the treatment of acute leukaemia. Daunocyte 20 mg Injection in combination with other medicinal products can be used in children with acute lymphocytic blood cancer (acute lymphocytic leukemia) and acute myeloid blood cancer (acute myeloid leukemia). Daunocyte 20 mg Injection works by attacking and destroying the abnormal white blood cells which are present in a person with leukaemia.
Daunocyte 20 mg Injection may cause common adverse effects including, chest pain, difficulty breathing, leg pain, Inflammation of the digestive tract including mouth (mucositis), diarrhoea, pain in the abdomen (belly), vomiting or nausea, hair loss (usually reversible), fever, fatigue and weakness, nose bleed, and bruising, etc. If they do not go away or get worse, tell your doctor. There may be ways of preventing or reducing these effects. It is a very strong medicine and some people may develop serious side effects while taking it. Daunocyte 20 mg Injection may lower your ability to fight infections and lead to problems with your blood, liver or kidneys. Your doctor will advise you regular blood tests to check for these.
Daunocyte 20 mg Injection may cause dangerous effects on your heart, and can also increase your risk of bleeding or infection. Inform your doctor if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling or rapid weight gain, fever, chills, tiredness, easy bruising or unusual bleeding.
