Evaira 0.5 mg Injection is an anticancer medicine used for the treatment of patients with metastatic breast cancer who have previously received at least two chemotherapeutic regimens for the treatment of metastatic disease. It is also used in the treatment of unresectable liposarcoma who have received prior anthracycline-containing therapy (unless unsuitable) for advanced or metastatic disease. Evaira 0.5 mg Injection works by stopping the growth and spread of cancer cells. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.

This medicine may cause some common adverse effects including nausea, constipation, hair loss, tiredness, and weakness. It may decrease the number of white blood cells in the body, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with heart, liver, and blood uric acid and electrolytes levels. You might experience numbness, tingling or pricking sensations in your hands and feet. Consult with your doctor immediately if it bothers you or would not go away on its own.

However, it is important to use birth control to prevent pregnancy because Evaira 0.5 mg Injection can harm an unborn baby.

Metastatic breast cancer: Evaira 0.5 mg is used for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. The symptoms include pain or discomfort in the affected area, such as the bones, chest, or abdomen, swelling in the affected area, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, persistent cough or wheezing, loss of appetite or weight loss, nausea or vomiting.

Soft tissue sarcoma (Liposarcoma): Evaira 0.5 mg is used to treat soft tissue sarcoma. Common symptoms may include a painless mass or swelling in the affected area, which may increase in size over time. If the tumour is located in the abdomen, it may cause abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting. In rare cases, liposarcoma may spread to other body parts, such as the lungs, liver, or bones, which may cause additional symptoms.
