Introduction of Fluvir Oral Suspension

Fluvir Oral Suspension is an antiviral medicine that is used to treat infections caused by viruses. Fluvir Oral Suspension is used in the treatment of the infection caused by the flu virus (influenza A and influenza B) as well as, swine flu (H1N1 virus) and H3N2 Influenza Virus. This medicine effectively reduces the flu symptoms like weakness, headache, fever, cough, runny or stuffy nose, and sore throat. This medicine is not recommended for use in less than 1 year of age and it is not used for the treatment of a common cold.

The common side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. These side effects mostly occur after the first dose of the medicine and will usually stop as treatment continues. In children sudden confusion, delirium, hallucinations, unusual behaviour, or self-injury. However, anyone using this Fluvir Oral Suspension should be watched closely for signs of confusion or unusual behaviour. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration.

Before taking this Fluvir Oral Suspension. You should inform your doctor if you have recently received a nasal flu vaccine, or if you are suffering from kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, brain disease, swelling, or any other serious health condition. Treatment of H3N2 Influenza Virus: Fluvir Oral Suspension is used to prevent H3N2 Influenza symptoms including dehydration, difficulty breathing, severe vomiting, low blood pressure, bluish lips or face, confusion, chills, headache, body ache, fatigue, sore throat, cough, high-grade fever, chest pain or pressure or, low oxygen levels (hypoxemia).
