Introduction of Lenalid 15 mg Capsule

Lenalid 15 mg Capsule is a medicine for cancer. It is used in combination with other medicines to treat multiple myeloma (a type of cancer of the white blood cells), mantle cell lymphoma (a type of rare blood cell cancer), and myelodysplastic syndrome (a group of diseases caused by blood cells that are poorly formed or do not work properly). Lenalid 15 mg Capsule is also used to treat follicular lymphoma (a type of cancer that affects your lymphatic system. Lenalid 15 mg Capsule acts by inhibiting the chemicals responsible for the abnormal growth of cancer cells. Lenalid 15 mg Capsule is not recommended for use in children under the age of 18 years.

Lenalid 15 mg Capsule may cause some common adverse effects such as headache, weakness, nausea, rash, and dizziness. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells (decrease red blood and white blood cells) in your blood, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections or bleeding. Hence, take caution while performing the activity that might increase your chances of bleeding or avoid contact with people suffering from an infection such as a cold. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells while on treatment.

Lenalid 15 mg Capsule is not recommended for the treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is essential to avoid pregnancy. You are advised to drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated while taking this medicine.
