Introduction of Trombopag 50 mg Tablet
Trombopag 50 mg Tablet belongs to a class of medications called thrombopoietin receptor agonists. Trombopag 50 mg Tablet is used to treat low platelet count in chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, and severe aplastic anemia. Trombopag 50 mg works by stimulating the production of platelets in the bone marrow, which helps to increase the number of platelets in the blood.
Trombopag Tablet may cause some common adverse effects, including headache, anemia (low red blood cell counts), decreased appetite, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), cough, nausea (feeling sick), diarrhea, pruritus (itching), alopecia (hair loss), myalgia (muscle pain), pyrexia (fever), fatigue (tiredness), influenza (flu)-like illness, asthenia (weakness), chills, peripheral oedema, headache, dizziness, insomnia, cough, dyspnoea (difficulty breathing), pain in the belly or in the mouth and throat, nausea, diarrhea, joint pain, muscle spasms, pain in limbs, fatigue, and fever. If you experience any of these side effects, it is recommended to inform your doctor. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or treat the symptoms.
Platelet Booster Trombopag can be used with some limitations and should be used only in patients with immune thrombocytopenic purpura whose degree of thrombocytopenia and clinical condition increases the risk of bleeding. Trombopag 50 mg should be used only in patients with chronic hepatitis C whose degree of thrombocytopenia prevents the initiation of interferon-based therapy or limits the ability to maintain interferon-based therapy. Safety and efficacy have not been established in combination with direct-acting antiviral agents used without interferon for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection.
Trombopag 50 mg Pack can be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). It is better to take it in the same way and at the same time every day to get the maximum benefit. The dose depends on your weight, medical condition, and what you are being treated for. Your doctor will plan the correct dose for you. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor, even if you start to feel better. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
Uses of Trombopag 50 mg Tablet
Patients With Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP): Trombopag Tablet is used for the treatment of adult patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have not responded to other treatments such as corticosteroids and immunoglobulins. The symptoms include easy bruising, prolonged bleeding from cuts, or spontaneous bleeding from mucous membranes.
Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Infection: Trombopag 50 mg Pack is used in the treatment of adult patients who have chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and are experiencing thrombocytopenia.
Patients With Acquired Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA): Eltrombopag Tablet 50 mg is used to treat severe aplastic anemia. who have either been unresponsive to previous immunosuppressive therapy or have undergone extensive prior treatment and are not eligible for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Benefits of Trombopag 50 mg Tablet
In low platelet count due to immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or HCV infection, Trombopag 50 mg Tablet is used for adults and children aged 1 year and above to increase the number of platelets, which aid in blood clotting and minimise the risk of bleeding. This is particularly beneficial in chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a persistent condition that may cause unusual bruising or bleeding due to an abnormally low count of platelets in the blood.
Trombopag Tablet is used for patients who have not experienced any improvement or are unable to undergo other treatments, such as medication or splenectomy. Additionally, Trombopag 50 mg Tablet is used to increase the number of platelets in individuals who have hepatitis C, a viral infection that may impair liver function. It is usually administered concurrently with other medications.
Treatment of Severe Aplastic Anaemia: Trombopag 50 mg Tablet is also used in combination with other medications to treat aplastic anaemia, a condition in which the body does not make enough new blood cells, in adults and children 2 years of age and above. Take it as advised by the doctor to get the most benefits.

How Trombopag 50 mg Tablet Works?
Trombopag Tablet contains the active ingredient eltrombopag, which is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. Trombopag 50 mg works by mimicking the action of thrombopoietin, which stimulates the production of platelets in the bone marrow, leading to an increase in their numbers in the blood. Platelet Booster Trombopag helps to reduce the risk of bleeding in patients with conditions such as chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), hepatitis C, and aplastic anemia, where low platelet counts contribute to the disease. By increasing the platelet count, Trombopag 50 mg enables the body to form clots to stop bleeding, reducing the risk of hemorrhage and other related complications.
