Introduction of Zoldonat Injection

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is used for treating Paget's disease, a disorder that affects the replacement of old bone with new, in both men and women. Zoldonat Injection is indicated for use in males with osteoporosis and postmenopausal women with the same condition.

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection helps lower calcium levels in cancer patient's blood. Interacting with calcium phosphate crystals, slows down the development of bone components, reducing the likelihood of fractures and enhancing bone density. Furthermore, it hinders the growth of metastatic cancer cells.

Zoldonat Injection may cause side effects such as headache, nausea, fatigue, anaemia, bone pain, constipation, fever, vomiting, breathlessness, and more. It can also weaken your immune system. Consult your doctor regarding these side effects and make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid smoking or drinking alcohol during treatment. Please inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking as they may affect the treatment.

The safety and efficacy of Zoldonat for treating hyperparathyroidism or nontumor-related hypercalcemia have not been established. Similarly, the safety and effectiveness of Zoldonat 4 mg Injection in children aged 1 to 17 have not been confirmed.

Patients receiving Zoldonat Injection treatment should not also receive Reclast. Additionally, Zoldonat 4 Injection should not be administered to patients already receiving Zometa, as both contain zoledronic acid.

Zoldonat Injection will be given through intravenous infusion in a hospital clinic. The administration of Zoldonat 4 mg is a slow process, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. The number of doses will depend on the reason for the prescription, with many patients only needing a single dose, but repeat doses may be necessary for those with osteoporosis or specific cancers.

Uses of Zoldonat Injection

Osteoporosis: Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is used to treat osteoporosis, a disorder that weakens bones, making them more susceptible to fractures. This is caused by the loss of bone density and the degeneration of bone tissue architecture. Although osteoporosis is more prevalent in postmenopausal women, it can also affect men.

Hypercalcemia: Zoldonat 4 Injection is used in treating hypercalcemia, a medical condition characterized by an excessive amount of calcium in the blood. Symptoms of hypercalcemia can include fatigue, weakness, headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dehydration, and confusion.

Benefits of Zoldonat Injection

Zoldonat Injection is a bisphosphonate drug that stops the erosion of bones. This action reduces the risk of fractures in conditions like osteoporosis and cancers that have spread to the bones. Zoldonat Injection binds to the surface of bones and decreases the activity of cells known as osteoclasts, which degrade bones. This results in a decrease in the release of calcium into the bloodstream, aiding in the strengthening of bones and reducing fracture risk.
