Viread 300 mg Tablet is an antiretroviral medicine used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs to treat HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults and children 2 years of age and older who weigh at least (10 kg). This tablet is not recommended for children under 2 years of age who weigh less than (10kg) and the elderly (65 years of age and older) as the safety and effectiveness of this medicine have not been established.

Viread 300 Tablet does not completely cure HIV infection. It will reduce the progression of a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related conditions. It will work by stopping the virus from multiplying in the body.

Viread 300 Tablet should not be used by individuals who have an allergic reaction to it or any of the other components of the medication. It is important to inform your doctor if you have any preexisting diseases such as liver problems, including hepatitis-B virus infections, kidney problems, or are receiving dialysis treatment, or if you have any bone-related diseases.
