Introduction of Virotrenz Tablet

Virotrenz Tablet is a combination of antiretroviral medicines containing emtricitabine, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, and efavirenz. It is used in the treatment of adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older with a body weight of at least 40 kg) infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus type-1. It helps control HIV Infection and prevent the development of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

​Virotrenz Tablet does not completely cure HIV Infection. It will reduce the progression of a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related conditions. It will work by stopping the virus from multiplying in the body.

Virotrenz Tablet is a combination of antiretroviral medicine that fights human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection by reducing the amount of the virus in the blood. It is used in antiretroviral combination therapy for the treatment of HIV infection. Virotrenz Tablet reduces the amount of HIV virus in your body and keeps it low. It also increases CD4 cell counts. CD4 cells are a type of white blood cell that plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy immune system to help fight infection. Response to treatment with Virotrenz Tablet varies between patients. Your doctor or healthcare provider will be monitoring the effectiveness of your treatment. Virotrenz Tablet may improve your condition, but it does not cure your HIV infection. HIV infection is a disease spread by contact with blood or sexual contact with an infected individual. Treatment with Virotrenz Tablet has not been shown to eliminate the risk of passing HIV infection on to others by sexual contact or by blood transfer. Therefore, you must continue to take appropriate precautions to avoid giving the virus to others.

How to Use Virotrenz Tablet?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.


How Virotrenz Tablet Works?

Virotrenz Tablet is a combination of antiviral medicine contains emtricitabine, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, and efavirenz. Emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that works by blocking the action of reverse transcriptase, an enzyme that is essential for the HIV virus to replicate. Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is another NRTI that also works by inhibiting reverse transcriptase. Efavirenz is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that interferes with the function of reverse transcriptase in a different way than NRTIs. Overall, Virotrenz Tablet can be effective at suppressing HIV replication and reducing the amount of HIV in the body (viral load).
