Wellpeg 2 mg/ml Injection is used with other medicines to treat certain types of bladder, breast, lung, stomach, and ovarian cancer, Hodgkin's lymphoma (Hodgkin's disease) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (cancer that originates in the cells of the immune system), and certain types of leukaemia (cancer of the white blood cells), including acute lymphocytic leukaemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). Wellpeg 2 mg/ml Injection is also used alone or combined with other medicines to treat certain types of thyroid cancer and certain types of soft tissue or bone sarcoma (cancer that forms in muscles and bones). It is also used to treat neuroblastoma (cancer that starts in nerve cells and occurs mainly in children) and Wilms tumour (a type of kidney cancer that occurs in children). Wellpeg 2 mg/ml Injection belongs to a class of drugs called anthracyclines. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells in your body.

Wellpeg 2 mg/ml Injection may cause some adverse effects including vomiting, allergic reaction, nausea, mouth soreness, and hair loss. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells in your blood, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections.
