Introduction of Defrijet 250 mg Tablet

Defrijet 250 mg Tablet is used for the management of chronic iron overload in patients aged 6 years or older with transfusion-dependent anaemias. Defrijet 250 mg is also indicated for patients aged two to five with transfusion-dependent anaemias who cannot be effectively treated with deferoxamine. Additionally, Defrijet 250 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of chronic iron overload in patients aged 10 years or older with non-transfusion-dependent thalassemia syndromes. Defrijet 250 mg Tablet class of medications called iron chelators. Defrijet 250 mg works by attaching to iron in the body so that it can be excreted (removed from the body) in faeces.

Defrijet 250 mg Tablet may cause some common adverse effects including Rash. Abdominal pain, Constipation, Itching, Increased liver enzymes, Abdominal distension, Diarrhea, Nausea, Headache, and Vomiting. Additionally, Defrijet 250 mg Tablet sometimes may cause serious adverse effects such as problems with vision or hearing, little or no urination, swelling in your feet or ankles, feeling tired or short of breath, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-coloured stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), fever, chills, mouth sores, skin sores, pale skin, easy bruising, unusual bleeding. if you develop any of these symptoms, you should inform a doctor immediately. If any of these symptoms are severe, you should stop taking Defrijet 250 mg and see your doctor straight away.
