Rasburnat 1.5 mg Injection belongs to class of Enzyme, works as a medication used to treat increased level of uric acid in patients with Cancer undergoing chemotherapy. It breaks down uric acid in to other metabolites which can be eliminated easily by body. Rasburnat 1.5 mg Injection is an recombinant form of Urate oxidase which is responsible for conversion of Uric acid into allantoin. It is basically derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain of yeast. It is available as an Lyophilised powder for Injection, sterile and off white in colour. Drugs used in the treatment of Lympophoid leukemia, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and acute Leukemia is associated with High level of Uric acid deposition in the body but with the help of Rasburicase it can be reduced to normal level.
