Introduction of Noxafil Tablet

Noxafil Tablet is used to prevent certain fungal infections in patients who have a severely weakened immune system (patients who have had chemotherapy) and belongs to a class of medicines called antifungals.  Noxafil 100 mg Tablet works by stopping the growth of fungi. This medicine is indicated for the prevention of invasive fungal infections in patients with neutropenia or haematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients receiving high-dose immunosuppressive therapy for graft-versus-host disease, and for the treatment of fungal infections.

Some common side effects of Noxafil Tablet include diarrhoea, nausea, fever, vomiting, headache, cough and low blood potassium. Most of these side effects of Noxafil 100 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and will gradually resolve over time, but if they persist or worsen, seek advice from your doctor.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in Noxafil Tablet, or if you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding; your doctor will only prescribe Noxafil Tablet if the benefits outweigh the risks. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about your medical history and current therapies to rule out any possible adverse effects or interactions.

Noxafil Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to other antifungal drugs such as ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole or voriconazole. Before taking Noxafil Tablet it's necessary to consult your doctor if you have certain heart conditions such as abnormal heart rhythm (long QTc interval), weakness of the heart muscle, heart failure or any heart rhythm disturbances, or if you experience severe kidney problems, diarrhoea or vomiting while being treated with this medicine, it's important to tell your doctor immediately as these conditions may affect the medicine's ability to work.

Take Noxafil Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is usually taken by mouth with or without a full meal. Do not cut, crush, chunk or open this medicine. Your doctor will decide how much of this medicine to take and how long to keep taking it, based on your age, weight and medical condition. Do not stop taking your medicine unless your doctor or health care professional tells you.

Noxafil Tablet is an antifungal drug contained in Posaconazol. It is used to treat fungal infections in adults.
